COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENTStudents at MEP are instilled with an understanding of the importance of helping others. FRIENDS OF MEPAt MEP, we truly love having visitors on campus. This year, we’ve been blessed to welcome some of our board members, and our students were excited to greet them with hugs and smiles. We’ve also enjoyed having guest speakers share insights into their careers, giving our students a valuable opportunity to learn about different jobs and future possibilities.
We believe these moments help our students grow, dream bigger, and connect learning to the real world. For more information, please contact Cutrenia Alford at 229-425-9670 or 229-423-5160. |

GOOD BEHAVIOR REWARD DAY FUNWe are proud to celebrate some of our students who demonstrated exceptional behavior and were rewarded with a special “Reward Day” experience!
These students had the opportunity to attend the Fitzgerald High School basketball game, where they witnessed the senior players and cheerleaders showcase their talents. One of the highlights of the day was their special role in escorting the senior players onto the court. It was a memorable experience filled with school spirit, encouragement, and celebration of positive behavior. We are proud of these students and look forward to continuing to recognize excellence within our school community! END OF THE YEAR FUNWe wrapped up our end-of-the-year celebration with a fun-filled series of weekly activities designed to honor our students and the hard work they’ve shown throughout the year!
Each week brought something special. Students enjoyed Water Day with the Fitzgerald Fire Department, a Glow Dance Party, Ice Cream Day, a Color Party Feast, and an exciting Field Day. These experiences created lasting memories, built a school community, and gave our students a joyful way to celebrate the end of a successful school year. We are proud of all they have accomplished and grateful for the support that made these celebrations possible! For more information, please contact Cutrenia Alford at 229-425-9670 or 229-423-5160. |

We are proud to highlight our many student performances this year, where our students have continued to represent our school with excellence, pride, and heart.
One of the most meaningful moments was when our students were personally invited by the Mayor to sing “God Bless America” at the City of Fitzgerald's Memorial Day celebration. They did not disappoint—delivering a powerful and respectful performance that honored the occasion beautifully. We are so proud of the talent, discipline, and character our students continue to show both on and off the stage. Each performance reflects their hard work and the strong support of our school community. For more information, please contact Cutrenia Alford at 229-425-9670 or 229-423-5160. |
MEP CELEBRATES BLACK HISTORYWe take great pride in how we celebrate Black History Month with purpose, honor, and student engagement.
We begin by participating in the City of Fitzgerald’s annual MLK Program, where our students respectfully recite excerpts from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech. This powerful experience allows them to reflect on Dr. King’s legacy of justice, equality, and hope. We continue our celebration each February with our annual Black History Program, where students showcase their talents through song, share informative presentations about African American leaders and history, and recite meaningful poetry. These events not only educate our students but also inspire pride, respect, and a deeper understanding of the contributions that have shaped our world. We are honored to keep this tradition alive each year. For more information, please contact Cutrenia Alford at 229-425-9670 or 229-423-5160. |
